Sakhalin Island Heavy Lift

Sakhalin-2 is an oil and gas development in Sakhalin Island based in Russia. With an extremely harsh winter and summer extreme, compounded by the remote nature of the location, required a reliable and portable composite matting system for the creation of heavy lift access pads for self-propelled modular transporters (SPMTs) to move the heavy lift modules for the construction of the LNG plant.

Dura-Base was deployed extensively across sandy terrain from the beachfront through to the LNG plant location providing many years of dependable platforms during the lengthy build phase.
