GM Poles Lighting Installation

Lighting experts GM Poles were tasked with the supply and installation of lighting upgrades for City of Gold Coasts' Miami Aquatic Centre. 

The challenge? 

• Getting heavy steel tracked equipment across concrete flooring.
• Protecting underground high pressure water pipes and water tanks. 
• Minimise dust as pools were kept open to public during construction.

Dura-Base Composite Mats ticked all the boxes and more.

Made of hardwearing HDPE, the mats provided a worry-free site access for their 33 tonne Hitachi Zaxis. The mats were interlocked together, removing the risk of shifting and gaps appearing during use.

Unlike thinner hardscape protection matting, the 105mm thick Dura-Base provided the maximum load spread required to protect the buried services from their piling works. This meant they did not need to bring in any  additional fill or crush rock for padding, taking away the messy handling of dusty materials.
