How strong and flexible are the Australian made Pro-Tech Mats? We test to find out.

With the recent addition of Pro-Tech Ground Protection Mats by local manufacturer ProFloor, we were quickly asked the question by a client - how do the Pro-Tech mats handle varying ground conditions, in particular, how well do they conform to the underlying ground?

Our client was after man-portable bogmats to assist their trucks with temporary access across lawns, sand, and concrete. As their need for temporary ground improvement mostly ad hoc, this meant having little or no time for ground preparations.

Pro-Tech Ground Protection Mats are proudly designed and manufactured in Australia, meaning these mats are built to Australian standards and conditions.

Meeting up with our Brisbane team, the following demonstration was performed - running an 8 tonne forklift over a Pro-Tech Mat on concrete surface with a 100mm high solid bump in the middle.

This demonstration tested on how well the mats would take the stress of the wheeled load point over an uneven surface - would it accommodate or break under duress?

As shown in the pictures below, the Pro-Tech mats easily took on the full weight of the forklift, flexed to accommodate and returned to form after.

Satisfied with the result, the client chose Pro-Tech Ground Protection Mats to support their truck fleet with their temporary access and ground protection needs.
