A leader in urban landscape for over 40 years, our client was tasked with a construction job to build a 167m boardwalk over a seasonal wetlands lake.

The project is centred in a new housing development in the southeastern Melbourne suburbs of Clyde North. The large scale civil landscaped area would serve to provide local residents with access to the created environmental wetlands for recreation and enjoyment; provide a natural ecological habitat for local flora and fauna and serve to manage rainwater runoff from the surrounding streets.

To construct the boardwalk, several concrete piers needed to be poured on-site. In order to gain access to the seasonal lake/marsh bed, the water had to be isolated and drained from the work area.

Following this, the ground needed to be made competent to proceed with the construction.
