Korobosea and Camp Moro

Korobosea and Camp Moro

The Korobosea rig site and Moro base camp were one of the first locations in PNG to have used the Dura-Base Composite matting for oilfield rig mats.

The traditional methods of flying heliportable sawmills to cut timber boards were upgraded breaking the 50-year trend.

The innovative method allowed the local communities to provide a solid footing for the campsites as well as the rig location for successful completion of the drilling program in 2007. Following which, there have been over 80,000sqm of Dura-Base brought into the country.
