Korobosea and Camp Moro

Korobosea and Camp Moro

The Korobosea rig site and Moro base camp were one of the first locations in PNG to have used the DuraBase Composite matting for oilfield rig mats.

The traditional methods of flying heliportable sawmills to cut timber boards were upgraded breaking the 50-year trend.

The innovative method allowed the local communities to provide a solid footing for the campsites as well as the rig location for successful completion of the drilling program in 2007. Following which, there have been over 80,000sqm of DuraBase brought into the country.
